Portfolio Prep

Ever since I was a sophomore, I heard about senior p ortfolio and how stressful it was for seniors. I realized how much it was once I finally was a senior. Developing your brand is a lot on its own but add in creating a website, getting business cards, envelopes, and making a physical portfolio and it gets stressful. Back in December, I started putting together what I thought was my best work to put into my portfolio. I tweaked a few of my projects that I wanted to use for my printed portfolio and website. I had issues developing my brand which made me fall behind in the aspect of purchases my stationery pieces. While everyone in my class slowly started to have their business cards and envelopes, it made me start to panic and I ordered them once my brand was finalized.  Recently, I had a bit of a mini-crisis. Discoverying My Brand

Typically creating your personal brand is a very hard thing to do but for me in particular it was even harder. I could not think of anything that would really resemble me. There were no little graphics that I could use that would give a good background to who I am as a person. My hobbies and interests wouldn't be able to be put into a graphic that wasn't mediorce or that would be taken seriously. I drew around 150 different logos and sketches which all ended up being just a drawing on a paper. None of them made it out of my sketch books. I wanted to do something with just my name originally or my initials. It was hard for me to use something with my initials in a graphic of some sort due to my initials being MK which is usually seen as Michael Kors.
